Could “Last Train to Paris” be the most anticipated album of the year?

No. I don’t want to be a hater, but there’s no way Diddy could pull “most anticipated”; he’s been in the game too long. But it definitely could be the most talked about album. There have been two tracks that have been released from  Last Train to Paris,”Angels” and “Love Come Down”. And guess what? They’re not half bad!

“Angels” seems to be the lead single from Dirty Money (Diddy, Dawn Richards, and Kalenna) and the most different track from Diddy’s previous catalog. The word different is a bit of an understatement. In terms of Diddy and his prior music, he’s gone straight 808’s and Heartbreak, which will be the album most compared to Diddy’s.”Angels” begins with a timeless beat and a timeless verse from Diddy’s personal angel, Notorious B.I.G. Some seconds later Diddy breaks through with an auto-tuned “Came from heaven just to sing a song for you.” What happens next is an emotional song about lost love.

Below is the trailer to “Angels” and the two singles released.

Diddy goes House (?)

leave a comment »

Diddy has decided to steer a bit away from the hip hop world with his latest mix tape with Felix Da Housecat. The mix tape is entitled Felix Da Housecat & Diddy Present: Lectro Black – Last Train to Paris. If this is any hint  of how his next album Last Train to Paris will sound, then we’re in for a doozy. On the tape, Diddy talks over the overly ambitious beats of Felix. What he is saying is of unimportance, mostly hyping himself and this “new” music. I’d like to reiterate that I am praying that his album is NOTHING like this. I’m all about artists stretching themselves and exploring different musical colors, but this new shade of Lectro Black needs to stay hidden.

With all that in mind, the best part of the mix tape is 34:00-39:30. You can download at RCRDLBL here.
