Google Chrome for Mac OS X

with 2 comments

Finally, the day has arrived. Google Chrome has now been released for Mac OS X, as well as Linux.

This update for Chrome has been a long time coming. Since Chrome’s release in September 2008, non PC users have been waiting diligently at a glimpse of Google’s “chrome” finish of its web browser.

As soon as I received my email from the google team, I immediately downloaded the browser and took it for a test drive.

My immediate reaction was “hmm, this seems kind of fast”, which is the backbone of Chrome. Chrome doesn’t bedazzle. It’s a very simple interface, but it serves its purpose, which is to surf the internet. I’m still a fan of Safari, but Chrome has definitely pushed Firefox as being the second best web browser pour moi.

  1. It’s really unfortunate to see the HUGE lack of features we’ve got on Mac Chrome compared to Windows Chrome. That, and OSX is the only one not able to use the extension gallery yet.

  2. Totally agree. It seems like Mac users always get the short straw. In the previous, I could understand the reason why–less mac users. Nowadays we’re growing exponentially and technology needs to keep up.
