The Passion of Shepard Fairey

Few artists have been able to breakthrough the obscurity of the art world into mainstream culture, especially during their lifetime. Recently though, there have been a couple who’ve seen a quite amount of celebrity because of their work: Takashi Murakami and Kaws to name a few. Shepard Fairey is one of the lucky few that have been able to receive notoriety for his “Andre the Giant” and Barack Obama “Hope” poster. Arktip magazine has gained access to Fairey’s workshop and posted this clip earlier this week of the artist hard at work. It’s pretty astounding to see the finished project.
