Rihanna – “Hard” (feat. Young Jeezy)
“I’m so hard!” What?! I’m just singing the chorus! So, Rihanna’s video for “Hard” has been released and its oozing Girl Power and sexiness. Now some of it seems to be forced, but there’s only so much forcing that can be done. The rest is all Rihanna. Whether she’s wearing porcupine shoulder pads, or black tape on her tatas, or channeling Minnie Mouse while straddling a canon, Rihanna does a good job personifying “Hard”ness.
By the way did I mention that Jeezy is in it too?

The Future of Magazines

The world has seemed to go bat#@$) crazy when it comes to tablets and E-readers, especially the magazine industry. It’s obvious that print journalism is slowing dying. One reason is the cost of making these magazines (paper, ink, etc.) and the other reason is that most people aren’t buying magazines anymore.
That is why so many publishers have put their hopes into a digital format of magazines, which could possibly kill those two birds with one stroke of the finger. This 8 minute (fascinating) video demonstrates how an everyday interaction with the new magazines will look like.
New Music Review

Vampire Weekend- “White Sky” Listen to it here.
Contra, Vampire Weekend’s second album, will be released on January 12, 2010, but it seems like before it is even leaked the band will hand out all the songs. Personally, I’m not complaining because it fixes my two issues: one, my love for Vampire Weekend and two, my hate for waiting. The only issue is the newest track that they gave up isn’t really “new” at all. If you are a follower of Vampire Weekend you would know that “White Sky” has been played by VW through festivals and concerts, which is why it sounds more like their debut album than “Cousins” or “Horchata.” With an arpeggiated piano chord and plinky guitar “White Sky” soars as the best “leak” from Contra yet.

Mary J Blige Ft. Jazmine Sullivan- “Gonna Make it” Listen to it here.
When I first heard this song, I immediately played 20 other times, which shows how quickly this song gets implanted into your membrane. The chorus is reminiscent to “this is the song that never ends”, but regardless I can see this being a number one for Mary J Blige. It was almost genius to have Jazmine Sullivan on this track; the passing of the torch from one “soul sista” to another. (By the way while typing this up, I’ve listened to it 3 times more).
Movie Trailer Galore
2009 was a disappointing year when it came to new movies. The ideas had been overplayed, sequels had no originality, and if the movie was promising, the cast seemed to flush it down the toilet.
Have no fear 2010 is here and it seems to be a good year according to these trailer:
